Reinforcing its commitment to technological advancement and community engagement, the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) of Tarlac Agricultural University conducts a two-day Capacity Building Training-Workshop on Robotics for high school teachers of Gerona Western National High School on February 20 and 27, 2026. Spearheaded by CET Dean Dr. Ruben A. Parazo alongside selected faculty members, the extension initiative equips educators with foundational and applied knowledge in robotics, including basic electronics, programming, robot assembly, and classroom integration strategies. The hands-on sessions immerse participants in practical activities that translate theory into actual prototype development, ensuring that teachers gain both technical competence and instructional confidence.

The training highlights the vital role of robotics education in fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and innovation among learners skills essential in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. By equipping teachers with updated expertise and practical tools, CET creates a ripple effect that strengthens STEM education at the secondary level and opens broader opportunities for students in engineering and technology.ย

Through this meaningful extension activity, TAU continues to bridge higher education and basic education institutions, advancing inclusive, community-centered development while championing excellence in science and technology.

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) turned Day 4 of the SCUAA (State Colleges and Universities Athletics Association) III Regional Meet 2026 into a gold rush on Wednesday, unleashing dominant performances in athletics, arnis, archery, and chess at the meet hosted by Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST).

The Carabaos blazed through the track as their mixed relay team won four gold medals, thanks to smooth baton passes and a powerful anchor run. TAU also won gold medals in the womenโ€™s 100-meter dash and the 1,500-meter run, thanks to dominant performances that showcased speed and endurance. The university added four more bronze medals in the classical relay, further strengthening its medal collection on the oval track.

In a recent interview, the athletics coaches said that the team devoted their best performances to their late coach Mr. Mark N. Mendoza, honoring his lasting influence and that his discipline, guidance, and unwavering belief in the athletes continue to inspire the team to push harder.

Coaches Mr. Jan Kevin H. Binuya, Mr. Tommy B. Balbuena, Ms. Marielle E. Tinga, Sir Jett Andrew B. Tolin, and the team said โ€œPara kay Sir Mark Mendoza po ang mga napanalunan namin at para sa ating mahal na University. Kayod Kalabaw!โ€ย

Another impressive display was seen from TAUโ€™s arnisadors in the live stick division, as they brought home two gold medals from different weight divisions. TAU added three more bronze medals in different divisions to add more luster to their campaign. In the padded stick division, seven bronze medals were brought home by the Carabaos in the menโ€™s and womenโ€™s divisions, showing their grit and tactical discipline in every match they played.

On the range, TAU archers dominated the womenโ€™s 70-meter division and brought home multiple gold medals with their steady aim and composure under fire. But it was not all over yet, as TAUโ€™s menโ€™s chess team brought home the gold medal with their sharp openings and calculated endgames.

With medals pouring in from different divisions, TAU showed one of its strongest performances in the tournament so far, sending a strong signal that they are still in the game as the tournament enters its crucial stage.

The starting pistol cracks at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), and for one week, time moves differently. Arrows find their hearts. Sprints become meditations on breath and bone. The TAU Carabaos donโ€™t just compete; they carry something ancient in their charge, the weight of legacy, the memory of every athlete who has bled on this same ground before them. You can see it in the way they hold the line, horns lowered not for battle, but for something worth protecting at this SCUAA Regional Meet.

As the dust settles over Cabanatuan City, as the last ball bounces and the final bow is lowered, what remains isn't medals or scores. It is the silence between heartbeats: the archer's exhale, the martial artist's bow, the runner's final glance back at a track that holds their footprints like a prayer. This isn't just a game. It is a week of becoming; and somewhere in the echo of hooves and hollow courts, the Carabaos teach us: some charges aren't about winning. Theyโ€™re about arriving.
