The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officially conducts its first flag-raising ceremony for the month of April at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 7 April, marking a renewed sense of solidarity and purpose among its officials, employees, and students.

The ceremony begins with the solemn singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the recitation of national and other institutional pledges. This is complemented by announcements and updates from various offices.ย 

The Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) acknowledges the birthday celebrators for April.

Meanwhile, Dr. Milani C. Petero, LS Principal and Coordinator of Philippine Consortium for Science, Mathematics, and Technology (PCSMT) along with Dr. Mariella Alexes Espiritu, Director of the Office of Curriculum and Instruction (OCI), extend their heartfelt gratitude to the students for their time and effort during the 2026 PCSMT - Science and Technology Youth Leadership Encampment (STYLE) held at TAU grounds on 23-25 March.

Dr. Petero and Dr. Espiritu also thanked the administration led by Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President, and the outgoing PCSMT Student Chapter Officers for their efforts and support to the team.

The College of Arts and Sciences rises like a Phoenix, soaring above the competition to claim the overall championship in the Festival of Talents (FOT), organized by the Sociocultural Development Office (SDO) on 26-27 March. With a whopping 204 points, CAS proves that its wings carry not just the fire of determination but the flame of excellence. The Phoenixes shine with 10 first-place finishes, alongside 10 second-place, five third-place, two fourth-place, and three fifth-place victories.ย 

The College of Education (CEd) secures a strong runner-up finish with 136 points. The College of Engineering and Technology (CET) places third with 94 points, followed by the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) with 73 points, the College of Business and Management (CBM) with 21 points, and the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) with 17 points.ย

Organized by Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the International Interdisciplinary Research and Development Conference in Social Sciences (IIRDCSS) 2026 officially opens today, 6 April, at the Crown Legacy Hotel, in Baguio City running until 10 April.

Under the theme "Interdisciplinary Synergies for the SDGs: Advancing Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Societies," the conference brings together researchers, educators, and policymakers from across the Philippines and Indonesia.ย 

TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and CAS Dean Dr. Sherwin S. Alar will lead the program, which features nine plenary sessions covering topics such as blue-green coastal resilience, gender-responsive pedagogies, digital finance, and socio-legal assessments of agricultural policies. Parallel technical sessions on sustainable agriculture, business innovation, public health, and lifelong learning also run throughout the week.
