In a significant move to strengthen its workforce, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officially administered the oath of office to 61 teaching and non-teaching personnel on 6 January. The simple ceremony, held at the Administration Building Atrium, celebrated new appointments, changes in employment status, and reappointments, highlighting TAU's commitment to rewarding merit and dedication to public service.
The new appointees represent a vital boost to the University's human resources. Among the teaching staff, advancements included five moving from temporary to permanent status, three from Contract of Service (COS) to permanent status, three from COS to temporary status, and 29 reappointments (temporary). They were joined by 21 non-teaching staff who assumed their roles following an exceptionally competitive selection process that attracted over 1,500 applications, as revealed by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Administration, Ms. Yolanda F. Juan.
Presiding over the ceremony, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson focused his address on a philosophy of genuine excellence. He also advised the inductees to avoid comparison and focus on delivering their personal best.
