The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community gathers for its weekly flag-raising ceremony on April 28, 2026, in front of the TAU Learning Resource Center Building. During the announcement proper, Ar. Yoana Alexis F. Juan, Chief of the Institutional Development and Resource Generation Unit (IDRGU), invites heads of departments, offices, and units together with their respective office clerks to attend an orientation on the Electronic Departmental Unit Performance Commitment Review (E-DUPCR) via an online platform. The initiative aims to strengthen institutional processes and ensure alignment with the universityโ€™s performance and quality standards.

In his address, President Salunson emphasizes the importance of gratitude and teamwork as defining values of the TAU community. He expresses appreciation for being part of an institution where collaboration and mutual respect remain central, and encourages all members of the university to maintain a positive outlook at all times. Aiming to strengthen subject mastery, reduce test anxiety, and ultimately raise the institution's Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) passing rate, the College of Education (CEd) officially launches Project TikTalk 2026 on 20 April, via Zoom, kicking off a structured online review program designed to boost the readiness of fourth-year teacher-education students and alumni.ย 

The virtual opening program features an orientation and a diagnostic mock exam covering both General Education and Professional Education subjects. Running through May and resuming in August until September 2026, CEdโ€™s Project TikTalk offers online content review sessions, practice drills, mock board examinations, and test-taking strategy workshops, all conducted virtually. Upholding its strong commitment to sustainable development under the leadership of the University President; Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) continues to champion community-driven initiatives through transformative training on sustainable bamboo utilization. Led by the Department of Extension and Training under the superintendence of Dr. Agnes C. Perey, and in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Paniqui, Tarlac, the initiative, titled โ€œTraining on Sustainable Harvesting, Treatment & Preservation, and Engineered Bamboo,โ€ gathered bamboo farmers from Paniqui to enhance their capabilities in harnessing bamboo as a high-value and sustainable resource.

The training highlighted key areas such as sustainable harvesting techniques, treatment and preservation methods to extend bamboo lifespan, and innovative engineered bamboo processing technologies aligned with modern industry standards. Participants engaged in comprehensive learning modules and hands-on workshops designed to address current challenges in bamboo resource management, including pest control, proper treatment applications, and value-adding processes for high-quality bamboo products.

Through this collaborative effort, TAU and the LGU of Paniqui continue to empower local stakeholders by promoting sustainable livelihoods while advancing environmental conservation. The initiative underscores the universityโ€™s vital role in bridging research, innovation, and community extension paving the way for a more resilient and sustainable bamboo industry in the region.
