In his opening remarks during the 3rd Commencement Exercises of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, began his address by acknowledging the unique context of graduation. He reflected that in a time where various socio-political issues continue to emerge, and where misinformation and lack of awareness are threats, knowledge remains a treasure greater than anything else. He emphasized that this was precisely why the graduates were truly fortunate, because they had been able to experience the dynamics of learning within a higher education institution.

He underscored the immense value of this experience. By navigating the challenges and triumphs of their academic journey, the graduates had gained not just information but the critical capacity to discern and understand, a vital defense against the era's prevalent threats. He framed their education at TAU as a key asset that now equipped them to face a complex world with clarity and purpose.

The entire Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community extends its warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to our very own Dr. Christine N. Ferrer on her well-deserved appointment as the new Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education's (CHEd) International Affairs Service (IAS).

This prestigious appointment bears witness to Dr. Ferrerโ€™s strategic leadership, unyielding passion, and exceptional expertise in the internationalization (IZN) of Philippine higher education. During her tenure as Director of TAUโ€™s External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) Office, she serves as the architect of the Universityโ€™s global ascent: elevating TAUโ€™s standing in international rankings; expanding its network of local and global partnerships; and creating meaningful mobility opportunities for students, faculty, and staff, among others. Her legacy is etched in every international collaboration, special project, and benchmark TAU continues to enjoy.

Her rich experience, which includes previous roles as CHEDRO 1 Regional Director, OIC of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), and OIC Deputy Executive Director of CHEd, provides a formidable foundation for this crucial national role.

We have every confidence that under her leadership, the IAS will reach new heights in fostering global competitiveness, sustainable partnerships, and inclusive IZN for the entire Philippine higher education system.ย

Mabuhay, Director Ferrer! Your TAU family celebrates this remarkable achievement and cheers you on as you shape the future of international higher education for our nation.

From the hopeful first step toward a Bachelorโ€™s degree, to the focused refinement of a Masterโ€™s, and finally to the pinnacle of academic achievement with the Doctoral hood, the ๐Ÿ‘๐ซ๐ ๐Œ๐ข๐๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐„๐ฑ๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ tells a powerful story. Each degree conferred reflects layers and years of knowledge and memories, preparing graduates to lead and thrive in an ever-changing world.

This video captures the hopeful faces of new graduates and the guiding message of Guest of Honor Dr. Dexter R. Buted, Administrator of the Philippine Coconut Authority, together with TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and members of the TAU community. Drawing from decades of leadership, Dr. Buted frames the occasion not as an end, but as a strengthening of roots and a preparation for harvest.

More than a record of achievements, this memorabilia celebrates the resilient spirit shaped within the University and echoes the theme, โ€œCultivating Excellence: Resilient, Sustainable, and Future-Ready TAU Graduates.โ€ย

Consider this day the official beginning of your new journey: the first seed of innovation sown, the solemn pledge to sustain progress, the moment you begin to shape the future that lies beyond the hallowed gates of your Alma Mater.

In his commencement speech, Dr. Dexter R. Buted, the Guest of Honor for Tarlac Agricultural Universityโ€™s (TAU) 3rd Midyear Commencement Exercises, reframed the very concept of failure for the graduates. He asserted that failure should not be seen as the opposite of success, but rather as an essential โ€œtuition feeโ€ one must pay to acquire true wisdom and competence. He further challenged the TAUians to embrace discomfort, urging them to actively seek out and find relief in the uncomfortable situations that foster growth.

Expanding on his message, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Administrator delivered a powerful call for compassion, declaring kindness to be a radical act in todayโ€™s world, a world he described as being in desperate need of such radicals. His parting truths were a clear directive: to fail mindfully, paying close attention to the lessons it imparts, and to practice kindness with a radical and stubborn consistency, especially when confronted by a world that often lacks it.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) organizes an Ecumenical Worship at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 9 December as part of its 3rd Midyear Commencement Exercises. The ceremony is officiated by Rev. Ramon Boniol, Executive Director of AGAPE Missions Philippines, underscoring the spiritual foundation of the graduation rites.

Meanwhile, scripture reading is led by Ms. Yolanda F. Juan, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Administration, while the invocation is delivered by Dr. Edmundo B. Baccay, former TAU professor and official. The worship brings together graduates, parents and guardians, faculty and staff, and guests in a reflective moment of faith, gratitude, and inspiration before the main ceremony.
