𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐎 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬

As part of Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) celebration of the 80th Founding Anniversary, members of the Administrative College (AdCo) lead the tree-planting activity on 18 December, reinforcing the University’s long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

The members gather in a designated one (1) hectare land located at the cottage area near the men's dormitory. Among those planted are Philippine oak (Lithocarpus sp.), palosapis (Anisoptera thurifera), and white lauan (Pentacme paucinervis). 

The oak tree, one of the highlights of the planting activity, carries strong symbolism in the context of a foundation celebration. It represents strength, endurance, stability, and growth from humble beginnings and reflects TAU’s eight decades of service, resilience, and continuous development.

The university also plans to gradually plant all Philippine native tree species within the identified one (1) hectare area, further positioning TAU as a living laboratory for forestry education and a sanctuary for biodiversity conservation.

The entire Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community, respectfully extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla, Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) International Affairs Service (IAS). 

Atty. Lily has been a steadfast ally and mentor to TAU for years, greatly supporting the University’s internationalization efforts in mobility programs, international rankings, special projects, and resource generation. Her dedication, guidance, and genuine care have significantly impacted the growth and global engagement of the TAU community.

In this time of loss, we honor the enduring legacy of service, leadership, and commitment that Atty. Lily exemplifies both professionally and personally. May her memory continue to inspire all who have had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Earning yet another national recognition, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) – College of Education (CEd) has secured its spot among the country’s top teacher education institutions (TEIs). According to the recently released results of the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), TAU ranks 8th among top-performing schools at the elementary level in the category for institutions with 50 to 99 examinees.

TAU-CEd’s performance in the elementary level examination recorded a remarkable 98.36% first-time pass rate. Overall, 61 out of 64 examinees successfully passed, achieving a 95.31% institutional passing rate, a figure that far exceeds the national passing rate of 51.05% and underscores the program’s exceptional preparation and support for its students.

This culture of excellence extends to the secondary level as well. First-time takers achieved a 95.45% passing rate, while the overall institutional performance reached 87.63%, with 85 out of 97 examinees passing. These results comfortably surpass the national passing rate of 72.62%, highlighting TAU-CEd’s consistent commitment to high-quality teacher education at the secondary level.

In a Facebook post, CEd Dean Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares emphasized that these results reflect the University’s consistent delivery of quality instruction, strong mentoring, and the efforts and sacrifices of both students and faculty. “Above all, they stand as a powerful testament to our shared commitment to excellence in teacher education,” she remarked.
