The Eulogio โ€œAmangโ€ Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) Faculty Members and Employees Union (FMEU) conducts a benchmarking activity at Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) at the Office of the University President Conference Hall, 26 May.

The activity provides a venue for both institutions to exchange practices and experiences related to CNA implementation and labor-management relations. EARIST representatives engage with TAUโ€™s United Faculty Association (UFA) and Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA) in discussions focusing on Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) provisions, benefits, and mechanisms that support employee welfare and institutional harmony.

Meanwhile, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson offers advice regarding how to strengthen the application of CNA and maintain efficient cooperation among the representatives of management and employees and emphasizes the need for effective communication, mutual respect, and constant dialogue to ensure that any decisions will be advantageous for all parties concerned.

Additionally, participants discuss ways to refine policies and increase organizational effectiveness.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Engineering and Technology (CET) holds its Student Research Colloquium 2026 (CETRC 2026) today, May 22, at the TAU Student and Alumni Center. Anchored on the theme "Empowering Sustainable Development with Engineering and Technology Innovation," this annual academic event gathers student researchers, faculty members, and global experts to showcase technology-driven solutions aimed at enhancing the quality of life in society. The University President; Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Dr. Edmar N. Franquera spearhead the opening ceremonies to champion inclusive quality education and impactful institutional research.

The colloquium features highly anticipated plenary discussions from a distinguished roster of international and local resource speakers. Prof. Sadhan Kumar Ghosh delivers the keynote speech on the profound impacts of artificial intelligence in engineering, while Dr. Elmar M. Villota explores the role of agricultural and biosystems engineering in the sustainable aviation fuel supply chain. Additionally, Dr. Czar Jakiri S. Sarmiento and Prof. Mukhlis Amien share critical insights regarding geodetic innovations and AI-driven strategies for sustainable agriculture, solidifying TAU's vision as a globally recognized smart agricultural university.

To facilitate diverse academic discussions, the presentations are conducted simultaneously across various venues within the university campus. The Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering presentations take place at the Bamboo Training Center, the Information Technology sessions run at the Farmers' Training Center, and the Geodetic Engineering cluster unfolds at the Main Library Audio Visual Room. This decentralized setup ensures a meticulous evaluation of student research projects, driving community empowerment and sustainable production through cutting-edge engineering innovations.
