To equip Senior High School (SHS) students with essential workplace ethics, mental health strategies, and awareness of the Safe Spaces Act as they prepare for their upcoming work immersion, the Tarlac Agricultural Universityโs (TAU) Student Placement Office (SPO) and Laboratory School (LS) conduct a Pre-Deployment Orientation Seminar (PDOS) on 20 February at the TAU Agritourism Hostel Function Hall.
University officials and guidance experts lead the program, providing mentorship and inspirational support to the student participants. The seminar concludes with an open forum, ensuring students are both ethically and mentally ready to excel in their professional transition.
The College of Agriculture and Forestry (โCAF) Week 2026 reached new heights of excitement and unity as Day 3 unfolded with a perfect blend of energy, color, and elegance. Students, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate not only competition, but also camaraderie and creativity through the much-awaited Color Fun Run, the prestigious Mr. and Ms. CAF pageant, and Socialization Night.
The day began with participants splashing the campus with vibrant hues during the Color Fun Run, symbolizing unity, enthusiasm, and school spirit. Laughter echoed across the grounds as students ran side by side, proving that beyond rivalry lies friendship and shared joy.
This was followed by the Mr. and Ms. CAF competition, which highlighted confidence, intelligence, and charisma, showcasing the true pride of the college. As the sun set, the celebration transformed into an evening of connection and fellowship during the Socialization Night, where organizations bonded, strengthened friendships, and created lasting memories.
The event also became a moment of recognition as students and organizations who triumphed in the Booth Competition and Sports Festival were formally awarded for their outstanding performances and teamwork.
In a series of intense matches in various sporting events, the TAU Carabaos brought grit and glory on Day 2 of the SCUAA (State Colleges and Universities Athletics Association) III Regional Meet 2026, which will run from 21-27 February at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST).
TAUโs Kata team opened fire, piling up medals in the Seniors category. The Carabaos showed flawless technique to claim two silver and one bronze medal, while the Kumite team took over with powerful counterattacks and perfectly timed strikes to bring home numerous silver and bronze medals.
From their accurate footwork to their winning finish combinations, TAUโs Karatedo team has clearly shown they mean business.
At the Sumacab Campus Open Gymnasium of the NEUST, the Arnis team of TAU demonstrated impeccable timing and precision in both traditional and non-traditional events. Every move, every attack, and every transition exuded perfection, discipline, and expertise in Filipino martial arts.
TAUโs Beach Volleyball menโs duo dominated the court, winning their match in straight sets with powerful serves and perfect touches at the net. The womenโs team fought hard but lost their opening match against the home team of NEUST.
On the court, the TAU Menโs Basketball team set the tone early, crushing the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) with a resounding double-digit victory to secure their
TAUโs women woodpushers opened with back-to-back wins, controlling the boards with calculated attacks and steady endgames. The menโs team split results in early rounds, keeping themselves within striking distance as the tournament heads into crucial matchups.
Lawn Tennis had tough breaks in menโs and womenโs singles matches, failing to win in straight sets and longer matches. The doubles teams hope to mount a comeback in the next matches.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang at the Techno Hub, held at the Sumacab Campus, the TAU teams had tough times in the initial matches, but are still in the running for redemption matches.
Baseball action at the Nueva Ecija Sports Complex saw the home team from NEUST unleash a powerful attack in the early innings, leaving TAU reeling. The Carabaos hope to mount a stronger attack in their next match.
Menโs and Womenโs Volleyball teams also had tough times against the home teams, but are still regrouping for the next rotation.
Through their podium achievements and nail-biting losses, Day 2 of the competition proves one thing: the TAU Carabaos are indeed fighting with heart, grit, and determination. The matches are far from overโand the Carabaos are far from finished.
With unity and excellence at the forefront, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Carabaos made a strong opening statement in the ongoing SCUAA Region III Regional Meet, hosted by the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST). As the regional meet officially commenced on 21 February 2026, TAU proudly secured its first bronze medal in the Menโs Single Table Tennis category through the remarkable performance of Mr. Aries Dave F. Combis, a 1st year student from the College of Agriculture and Forestry.
Demonstrating grit, focus, and competitive composure against the regionโs top paddlers, Mr. Combis delivered a podium finish that brought honor to the Green and Gold. His achievement not only highlights his athletic potential but also reflects the unwavering support system behind every TAU athlete.
Beyond the competition arena, the TAU delegation also conducted a Solidarity Meeting on the first day of the regional meet.
