The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Office of the Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (OVPPQA) is pleased to announce that the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) Level IV has been retained with validity from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2030, following its recent assessment by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) held on 24-26 September 2025.

The College of Engineering and Technology (CET) BS in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering reflects the program’s excellence and dedication in key areas including research, performance of graduates, community service, international linkages and consortia, and planning process.

With its high score in the criteria assessed by the AACCUP, TAU-CET underscores its commitment to quality education and holistic development of its students.

The TAU community, headed by its University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and the Vice President for Planning and Quality Assurance (VP-PQA) and former Dean of CET, Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, commend the faculty, staff, and students of CET who made this possible.

Mr. Julius S. Baltazar from the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) successfully concluded the Fall 2025 semester at Centennial College in Toronto, Canada through the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchange for Development (SEED) from 2 September to 20 December 2025.

Through this program, Mr. Baltazar gained specialized expertise in Nutritional Science, Principles of Sanitation, Safety, and Hygiene, as well as Marketing and Merchandising Operations. The knowledge he acquired at this Canadian educational institution will be useful in terms of expanding his learning in nutritional sciences and safety standards as he is currently finishing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at TAU.

Furthermore, this exchange is a testament to TAU’s commitment to proving that quality education knows no borders in preparing its students to lead both locally and globally.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) successfully conducted an Orientation on the 2025 Omnibus Rules on the Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) on 10 February 2026 at the TAU–Continuing Education Center Function Hall. The activity was initiated through the collaborative efforts of the Chief Administrative Offices of  Finance and the Administration through the Human Resource Office, reaffirming the University’s commitment to good governance and ethical public service.

The program formally opened with the welcome remarks delivered by the Vice President for Finance and Administration, who read the speech of the University President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson. In his message, Dr. Salunson emphasized the importance of the orientation as a vital mechanism for public servants to consistently uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability in the performance of their duties. He officially welcomed all TAU personnel from both the academic and non-academic sectors.

Following the welcome message, the Chief Administrative Officer for Administration, Ms. Yolanda F. Juan, presented the objectives of the activity and discussed the salient features of the 2025 Omnibus Rules on SALN, providing participants with a clear understanding of its purpose and scope. This was followed by a comprehensive discussion led by the Chief Administrative Officer for Finance, Mr. Dante A. Revamonte, who thoroughly explained the provisions, requirements, and proper accomplishment of the SALN.  In the discussion of Mr. Revamonte, the attendees are able to ask questions on various aspects concerning the filing of SALN to avoid confusion and misinterpretations of the stipulations on the said omnibus.

A representative from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Mr. Jehoshapat L. Rombaoa, is set to participate in Stream 2: SDG’s Innovations in the Community and Technological Camp (CommTECH) Insight 2026 hosted by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia alongside with the Dean of the aforementioned college, Dr. Sherwin S. Alar, to also represent Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) in official meetings to explore potential future collaborations with ITS officials on 9 to 20 February 2026.

The “Stream 2: SDGs Innovations” program offers hands-on experience that combines professional growth with cultural discovery. Throughout the twelve-day itinerary, participants will engage in a rigorous curriculum featuring dynamic courses, high-level discussions with key representatives, and, beyond academic matters, a rich cultural component that allows attendees to experience Indonesia’s diverse heritage.
