In line with the initiative of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the Gender and Development Office, National Service Training Program (NSTP), and University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit (UDRRM), officials gathered at the Office of the University President (OUP) Conference Hall on 23 September for the Gender-Sensitive Building and Fire Safety Inspection.
Present at the event was Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President, who acknowledged the collaborative efforts between TAU, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Camiling, the Camiling Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and external partners in upholding safety standards. Also in attendance was Dr. Eugene S. Valeriano, Director of Planning and Development and Chair of the Building Inspection Committee, who emphasized the teamโs continuing efforts to ensure that all university facilities comply with safety standards. They were joined by members of the TAU Safety Inspection Committee, together with LGU officials.
Through this collaborative meeting, TAU reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe campus and strengthened its partnerships with local agencies to ensure compliance with fire and building safety regulations. This initiative also highlights the Universityโs adherence to GAD policies, recognizing that a secure and disaster-resilient environment is essential in safeguarding the well-being of all, especially women, children, and other vulnerable groups within the community.
