The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community is erupting in celebration as it applauds the exceptional performance of the graduates of College of Engineering and Technology (CET) Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DABE) in the recent December 2025 Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Licensure Examinations (ABELE). TAU not only delivered a strong overall passing rate but also significantly surpassed the national average and its 2024 feat.

Official results reveal that TAU achieved an impressive 70.59% overall passing rate, with 12 new engineers emerging from 17 examinees. This marks a substantial lead over the 59.14% national overall passing rate.

A closer look at the data highlights the strength of TAU’s academic preparation. First-time takers from the University passed at a rate of 71.43%, outperforming the national first-taker passing rate of 66.97%. Repeaters also demonstrated remarkable resilience and improvement, securing a 66.67% passing rate.

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) conducts its final Board of Regents (BOR) meeting for 2025 at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City, on 12 December, with Commissioner Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino in attendance and Senator Bam Aquino represented by his Political Officer, Mr. Simon Aquino. This year-end meeting underscores TAU’s continued commitment under the leadership of President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson to strengthen governance, advance academic excellence, and drive strategic initiatives forward.

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) took a significant stand against gender-based violence with a panel discussion entitled “Breaking the Silence: A Multisectoral Approach to Combating Gender Violence” at the Student and Alumni Center Amphitheater, 25 November, as part of the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). 

The program commenced with a series of talks that set a solemn tone for the day and brought together University leaders, educators, staff, and students. Dr. Ma. Theresa B. Nardo, Director of the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, delivered welcome remarks, followed by an inspirational message from the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Dean, Dr. Lavina Gracia M. Ramirez, who represented Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VP ASA), Dr. Sonny DC. Torres. Their speeches emphasized the University’s institutional role in preventing violence and supporting survivors, framing the day’s discussions as a critical component of TAU's advocacy.

The core of the event was a robust panel discussion featuring experts from various offices within the University. The panel, facilitated by Ms. Faith G. Santos, included Dr. Nardo; Mr. Nelmar A. Mallari, Chief of Information Unit; Ms. Erika R. Prado, Chief of the Inclusion Unit; and Mr. Johndhel C. Dela Cruz, Communications Development Officer. This diverse composition highlighted the need for a unified response to effectively combat gender violence.
