𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐖 | 𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝐋𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧

Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) beams with pride as its archers delivered a remarkable showing at the 7th Mayor’s Archery Cup, held from May 1–4, 2026, as part of the Diro Festival. With a collection of gold, silver, and bronze finishes across multiple divisions, the TAU delegation once again demonstrated excellence, discipline, and competitive spirit on the archery range.

In the Recurve Open Men – Bronze Team Event, John Aaron Ambat, Justin Vincent Ong, Joshua Rein Sandoval, and Jerome I. Patricio combined precision and teamwork to secure a podium finish, earning the bronze medal for TAU. 

The Recurve Open Women – Bronze Team Event squad, composed of Mirlee Valerie Balagso, Kathleen Calderon, Hazel Denisse Gragasin, and Margaux Reyes, likewise showcased composure and consistency, claiming bronze honors in their division.

TAU’s Novice Open Men archers also delivered an outstanding performance, led by Matthew David, who clinched gold in the Olympic Round and added three silver medals in the First Distance, Second Distance, and Double Distance events. Nicko Jay Aldaya contributed three bronze medals across the First Distance, Second Distance, and Double Distance categories, while Justine Paulo Garcia secured bronze in the Olympic Round—rounding out a strong medal haul for the men’s novice team.

Equally impressive was the performance of TAU’s Novice Open Women archers. Daennise Louiseanna Sebastian stood out with three gold medals in the First Distance, Second Distance, and Double Distance events, along with a bronze in the Olympic Round. Ahreana Lagunero added a gold medal in the Olympic Round and a bronze in the Second Distance, while Lynmar Nicole Responso earned bronze medals in both the First Distance and Double Distance events.

The entire TAU community proudly congratulates its archers for their exemplary achievements. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence continue to bring honor to the University and inspire fellow student-athletes to aim higher and strive further in their respective fields.
