Mr. Dann T. Diez, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Cebu-based non-profit organization Sustainable Energy and Enterprise Development for Communities (SEED4Com), visited Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on 9 August.
Mr. Diez was officially welcomed by the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) office headed by its Director, Dr. Benny S. Soliman. He was also accompanied by ELIA staff to roam TAU’s flagship project facilities, such as the SMART Agriculture Center, the e-Bamboo project, and the Bambusetum.

Faculty researchers of the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) visited Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on 13 August to benchmark the University’s SMART Agriculture center and technologies where they expressed their full interest in control systems, management and data gathering of the said flagship facility.
Said delegation consisted of faculty members from PSAU’s College of Engineering and Computer Studies spearheaded by Engr. Johan Winsli G. Felix, Project Leader and eight study leaders, namely, Engr. Maribel T. Bravo, Engr. Rosalie T. Tuazon, Engr. Romana B. Pare, Dr. Johnny L. Miranda, Ms. Jackilyn B. Baccay, Mr. Aloysius S. Valerio, Mr. Rodel P. Pentecostes and Mr. Manny Pangilinan.
𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | TAU-QA steers ISO 9001 awareness training anew; bolters preparedness for 2nd survey visit
Following the risk-based analysis and Internal Quality Audit (IQA) training conducted in the first quarter of this year, and as part of the orientation thrust in delivering prompt and unparalleled quality services to all its stakeholders, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through its Quality Assurance (QA) Office initiated yet another Awareness Training in accordance with the International Standard ISO 9001:2015 at the University's Agritourism Hostel Function Hall on 15 August.
Attended by administration officials, unit heads, and document control coordinators (DCCs), the said activity aimed to highlight the value of the interrelated participation of all employees, and to orient them about the general objective of ISO and its importance to the University. In addition, the activity was a step in the preparation for a surveillance audit by an ISO body later this year.
𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | CAS alums ace psychometrician licensure exam
Twenty-five (25) out of 41 alumni of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) - Department of Psychology (DP) surmounted the rigors of the Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians (BLEP) 2024 after posting a rating of 64.10% for first-time takers and 60.98% for the overall rating.
In a Facebook post, CAS dean Dr. Sherwin S. Alar commended the newly registered psychometricians, citing their hard work as the main driving point for their triumph in BLEP. “This year’s success represents a significant improvement compared to previous years, highlighting the dedication and academic excellence of our students, as well as the unwavering support and guidance provided by our faculty,” Dr. Alar wrote.

During the meeting, Ms. Gonzales highlights the ongoing proposal to digitize transactions between TAU and LBP Camiling for smoother and easier processing of documents.
Dr. Salunson, along with Ms. Guia Mae O. Basilio, chief of Cashiering and Treasury Unit; Ms. Liberty Y. Austria, disbursing officer; and Ms. Marilyn R. Soriano, administrative assistant II also express their commitment to advancing the University's financial transactions in their office.
