Sustainability Report

Tarlac Agricultural University’s sustainability performance, programmes and initiatives for academic year 2025 .

AXIS: Sustainability Report  2025

The choice of AXIS as the title and central theme of this Sustainability Report stems from its rich symbolic and conceptual meaning. In Geometry and Physics, an AXIS represents a central line around which a system revolves, a foundational pivot that enables complex movement, balance, and structural integrity.

For Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), the term serves as a powerful metaphor for the institution's evolving identity as a central driver of sustainable transformation across Central Luzon and the wider global community.

At its core, AXIS reflects the strategic convergence of TAU’s institutional policies, academic rigor, and community extension directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It symbolizes the exact point where scientific research, agricultural innovation, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility intersect to create measurable, real-world solutions. By positioning itself at this critical juncture, TAU ensures that every endeavor functions as a deliberate, coordinated effort toward long-term resilience and inclusive growth.

To support this strategic narrative, the AXIS: Sustainability Report provides a comprehensive consolidation of TAU’s performance metrics, specifically aligned with the data requirements of the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings (SIR).

For this edition, the report anchors its narrative on 2025 data. Data integrity remains the cornerstone of this publication, with all information meticulously consolidated, verified, and presented by the University Sustainability Council (USC).

Following the rigorous standards outlined in the SDG Data Collection and Collation Guide, the USC has ensured that every metric and indicator is substantiated by validated documentation.

This report also serves as a vital tool for the University to monitor its progress in key operational areas systematically, such as expanding financial aid access, executing anti-poverty programmes, and strengthening community support systems.

Through this unified approach, TAU ensures that its contributions to the SDGs remain both scientifically measurable and  deeply impactful
