MILESTONES | AACCUP certifies 2 CEd programs, retains level IV accreditation status
The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Quality Assurance (QA) Office has announced the official recognition of two flagship programs of the College of Education (CEd) following their approval by the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
According to the QA, the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) and the Bachelor of Technology Livelihood Education (BTLEd) will also retain the Level IV accreditation status of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd), the highest tier awarded by AACCUP.
The BTLEd program will offer specializations in Agriculture and Fishery Arts, Home Economics, and Information and Communication Technology, aligning with evolving industry demands and national development goals. Similarly, the BECEd program directs its focus on foundational childhood pedagogy to better address gaps in early education training.
Such changes reflect TAU-CEd’s commitment to curriculum innovation while preserving the rigorous quality that earned its Center of Excellence in Teacher Education—a distinction held by few Philippine higher education institutions.
